Prayer Points
Philippians chapter 4 verses 5-7
“The Lord is at hand, do not be anxious about anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God which surpasses all understanding will guard your hearts and minds in Christ Jesus”
Local:
- As many attend our church Christmas services and festivities, pray that the Good News of the Saviour would be made clear and that hearts would be opened to receive Him as King.
- Pray for those who are out of work and under particular pressure at Christmas time.
- Seek the Lord for Holy boldness. Ask that He might give us the opportunity to speak to a friend or family member about their need to trust Jesus as Saviour.
- Ask God to guide our spending and our priorities at this Christmas time.
- Pray that the ‘shoe box’ presents from the Sunday schools might safely be delivered.
- Pray for young and old who are battling with addiction.
- Pray for those who have been bereaved and for whom Christmas is very difficult.
- Pray in particular for those who are elderly as they seek to stay safe and in good health over the winter months.
- Praise God for progress in preparing for our church youth mission, Cafe one80. Pray in particular for our guest preachers Steve Auld and Scott Woodburn.
- Praise God for the relationship Mourne has with the people of Malawi. Give thanks that God has allowed us the privilege of making a difference in many thousands of lives through evangelism, education, agriculture and medical assistance.
- Remember those who we support in Gospel work across the world who will be separated from family and friends over Christmas.
- Give thanks for many who tirelessly give themselves to the work of the Lord in Mourne.
